HP enounced the new Integrity NonStop BladeSystem, the NB50000c BladeSystem. This Integrity Server is the next model in the range of Integrity NonStop Servers and is based on HP's c-Class BladeSystem technology. In the NB50000c BladeSystem configuration, the Integrity server blade is a full-height blade server featuring Intel® Itanium® 9100 series dual-core 1.66GHz processors upporting up to 48 GB memory and fortified with the ServerNet fault tolerant server area networking (SAN) interconnect. According to HP the NB50000c doubles the performance in half the footprint. Because this new dual-core architecture HP has changes the major OS release identifier from the letter H to J. The NB50000c BladeSystem is first BladeSystem in the new NB-Series NonStop Servers. Continuous doesn't see the NB50000c as a competitor for the High-End Integrity Servers as the NS16000 and NS16200. The NB50000c is not available with NonStop Advanced Architecture (NSAA) but only as pure simplex NonStop Integrity Server. More information is available at the HP website:
